The World Union aims to
- promote the image and influence of the organizations representing the liberal professions
- ensure rapid full exchange of information concerning the common problems confronting the liberal professions on the national, bilateral or multilateral levels
- represent the liberal professions at intergovernmental organizations
- obtain the means required to promote the human values and virtues that liberal professions traditionally defend
- assist and support liberal professions who want to organize themselves or are in difficulties
establish and maintain intercultural dialogue, in its capacity as a stalwart in civil dialogue at all levels
